The big problem is that shared cycle lane/footpath jobbies are actually a big hazard for pedestrians and cyclists alike. People who are trying to get somewhere want to ride on the road, like a real vehicle... I must see if there is a petition along the lines of "no more cycle thingies that violate the road code."
