Dear Hivemind

Posted by Hadyn on Friday, 11 Jul 2008

I have been told that the only conference facility, within coo-ee of the Beehive, that has meeting rooms with free* wifi access is the Backbencher. This can't be true. I mean we are living in the future aren't we? If anyone knows of any other venue I'll be eternally grateful (as might other meeting-organising readers) *Oh and by free I mean is part of the conference facility service, but is not an extra charge.

You could try the Portland Hotel in Hawkestone St, think they have Cafenet coverage there....

When kiwicon (https://kiwicon.org/) was on last year at Vic uni they supplied free access to cafenet. Maybe talk to the organizers of kiwicon to see who they approached to get that deal.

Try the Royal Society of NZ (their lecture theatre at least has wi-fi).

Thanks I'll try those suggestions as well.

I just realised it sounded like I was dissing the Backbencher. I wasn't, I just wanted other options.
