Hmmmmm...
So, anyone else not trusting this weather?
This Wellington, she is a fickle mistress.
Possibly, though it could just be sea clutter. We could often track southerly changes, even those without cloud or rain, by the radar reflections that came from roughened seas and sea spray.
And looking at a recent visible-spectrum satpic, it looks like there's not much, if any, cloud to come in the immediate future. The current aviation forecast has showers from about 10pm, as the second burst of southerly comes through. So far, it's just dropped the temperature off by a degree or two, though the wind chill adds to the effect.
It's a little too good, isn't it. I'm very suspicious.
Mind you, even if it continues, we'll be in the crapper. Parts of the Wairarapa are already on water restrictions; a summer that continues like it's started will almost certainly cause water shortages here too.
Oh, and btw, the sky is falling.
somebody already uttered the d-word earlier today.
be tough for those farmers!
where will my fresh lamb be next year if the sheep aren't fattened over the summer!!
Didn't you guys reckon that France could beat the All Blacks?
get positive! It will be a long, hot summer. Yet it will gently rain through the night. Lambs will grow fat.
Pilsener shall miraculously spring forth from my front yard.
i'll send a keg round your place.
if you could fill that with the yard-pilsener, it would be appreciated.
unless "yard-pilsener" is code for something that's best left under the lemon tree... in which case, don't bother.
I couldn't believe it either, but with 180 overseas guests at the little bash I organised, I was quite happy that they all got the best of Wellington, even over the following weekend.

The southerly, he coming.
