Just in case Jo felt a little selfconscious about promoting her own empire-building, I thought I'd mention the brand new Aucklandista!
Currently it is mainly populated with stories about how Wellington is different from Auckland (spoiler: Wellington is arty and windy, Auckland has traffic and celebrities) but in the coming weeks it will include many other wonderful articles about the City of Sails.
Aucklandista?
That doesn't really sound appropriate for some reason.
Aucklander would have been a better-sounding term I think.
It's the Aucklandista because it's from the -ista whanau of web communities. And -ista is an exotic Italian suffix, as in fashionista and barista.
And besides, APN already have The Aucklander, the companion website for its community paper.
One Jo to rule them all...nice work.
But doesn't this mean the about section here should say "The Wellintonista, sister site of The Aucklandista".
