Yeah easy - actually, if you're there in the dead of night, they're everywhere.

And I'm slowly forming the conclusion that they're best after it has rained.

But go via the Glen Rd entrance, take the left hand route towards the duckpond, and along the bank on your left they're everywhere.

Alternatively, on some nights, go right from the Glen & take the path to the right towards the Cable car, look down the bank to your left & they can be good there too.

good one. will give that a go one night. I know both those recommended paths well - glen rd was an excellent all-day sneaky car-park when I was working at MetService. A pleasant walk through the gardens on the way to work.

Never mind the glow worms- how about the super early Bot. Gardens tulips?! I've lived in Wellington since 1974 & have never seen such splendour as early as today's -very sunny Sunday Sept. 17th 2006. With such a seasonal surge they'll be all over by Oct 1st (the official date). So much for the mini ice age this past winter!
