Every year we list the local nominees (Wellington and New Zealand) for the web awards, the Webbys.
And 2008 will be no exception. Except that the list this year is less Art Festival and more...well you'll see:

UPDATE! Nominee for Best Games Site: Electrocity
UPDATE: It seems Stuff.co.nz got a mention as well, but as an honoree not a nominee. Other Kiwi honorees include the ACC's Activesmart site in the Health category (creative by DNA and web development by Signify, both Wellington companies) and the AA in the Association category (but not the Automotive category).
They ain't nominees for prizes but of course it's an honour just to be...honoured.

Wow, the Warehouse gives all its staff the day off on their birthday! Thanks to the awesome design of the Warehouse Careers website, I learned this factoid right on the front page!
I was an honoree in 2005!
And there's a nominee in games: http://www.electrocity.co.nz for Genesis by Rivet.
I see www.activesmart.co.nz got an honouree as well
ACC's http://www.activesmart.co.nz/ got an Honoree in the Health category. Creative by DNA and web development by Signify (both Wellington companies)
The AA got a honoree in "Associations" as well but strangely not under "Automotive". So perhaps they're only good at the one A.
And I completely missed Electrocity! Will update again.
