Eat and eat and eat: win a voucher for the Occidental
Congratulations to Richard who you will find hiding away at Munchen Burger getting his borsct on. This week we’ve got our last prize to give away, thanks to celebrate Wellington on a Plate, thanks to the lovely Positively Wellington Tourism, we have a $100 voucher to The Occidental to give away.
Public servants and other Molesworthites are probably well aware of the Occi already, as it’s the first watering hole on Lambton. As well as being a Monteiths pub, it also serves a variety of food, including build-your-own breakfasts on the weekends, and this offer for Wellington on a Plate:
Lunch Offer – $25 set menu
Choose any two courses plus a glass of Wellington regional wine, and a cup of tea or coffee.Starter
Fresh hot loaf smoothed in garlic and parsley butter
or
Soup of the Day with toasted Tuscan breadMains

So, if you want to win this voucher, all you have to do is leave us a comment before next Wednesday 5pm letting us know what you’d like to see more of (or less) on our site – but you’ll get no points for complaining about our recent outages. We know, and we’re sorry. A winner will be chosen at random, as per usual. Thanks again to Positively Tourism for all the great prizes, and let the eating begin!
I’d love more photos of the venues that you review, of the authors out at the venues, and of general hilarity and merriment.
I basically like the site (and I read through RSS so the blue doesn’t bother me!) but I guess I’d like more pointers to upcoming events, with perhaps a bit more notice.
Keep it up!
Love the site, but you could get MORE AGGRESSIVELY political!
We have a mayoral election coming up and the lead candidate has been building the city into bankruptcy but can’t spare any dosh for Cuba Street carnival!
More food reviews please!!
Once the site starts making so much money that the dozen or so of us Wellingtonistas don’t need day jobs – well then, look out!
More arts coverage please !
Snippets from the Funerals & Snakes movie reviews would be nice again.
Just sayin’…
Also, totally agree about more food stuff. That Babylon review was scorching hot!
More food please. But with photos!
Seconding the ‘bit more notice’ part. You guys do a fab job of bringing events to our attention that we too easily overlook. But it’s usually with a very brief notice.
Speaking of which, here’s my event pointer for today:

I’d like to see more Ordered Lists : )
I second the person who said more arts coverage – yes please! But mostly I like it the way it is 🙂
Would like to see the ability to export a calendar appointment to Google Calendar or Outlook so I can quickly add events. Or provide a shared Google Calendar that can be accessed. Otherwise all pretty good!
We do have a shared Wellingtonista Google calendar – making it more public is a good idea, thansk!
Also more/better spam prevention in the comments…
The site is awesome just the way it is. Maybe more reviews …but no biggie. As I said, the site is awesome. Keep up the great work!
More gossip and scandal please.
More food reviews would be great, and I like what others have suggested about arts reviews too.
I like the reviews and information about the random stuff happening in Wellington that I would never normally know about and one day soon I will emerge out of my internet winter cave and actually attend such an afore mentioned event!!
More semi-political commentry. Particularly with examples of how it actually relates to us in the city!!!
More Pork!
Dancing girls! Whoo hoo! Dancing boys too (so that everyone’s happy)!

I love the new site but i was a bit perplexed at the short posts .. then i spied the read more icon.. duh and double duh.. then i had another think ( that hurt ) and realised that it would be better if you put it before the comments.. keep up the splendid work.. there are some really good welly blogs around now and yours is def one of them ..
busted
more reviews that include the term “fucknuckle”.
Great site for foreigners like me to find out what is going on in this amazing city..perhaps more contests would be great! and I do find the font a little hard to read..
More about some of the cute little shops and hidden cafes about the city… and photos!
Other than that, stay classy.
