Anti-Fascist Protective Rampart

Submitted by stephen clover on Thursday, 05 Apr 2007.

Our very own Anti-Fascist Protective Rampart has been up for months now, and remains as ugly as ever.

Looking south towards Friedrichstraße *cough* I mean Abel Smith Street:

... and north towards Ghuznee Street. In the distance, over the wall, we see the symbols of capitalism brazenly and proudly flaunted:

All we are really missing are some sentry towers, razor wire, and anti-personnel mines. Somebody really needs to finish this damn "bypass" already.

Why isn't that thing covered in tags and graffiti? If the local taggers can take the time to spraypaint my garage, surely they can find the time to add a bit of colour to this monstrosity?

Why, because graffiti is decadent, ideologically suspect and verboten. All the colourful stuff is on the other side of the wall, silly.

That's my path to work each day.. for the last 4 months i've hadto dodge diggers to get through that.

i stood on barbed wire there the week the bypass opened... lovely gift from Tranzit.
