Early warning: The Wellingtonista Quiz League
I've been rather quiet on the Wellingtonista front (well, for me anyway) because I've been busy finishing up my contract and looking for a new job (anyone who knows of a new home for a person with tremendous writing, editing and communication skills who knows the internets like the back of her hand should get in touch), but when I come back from a tropical holiday, the Wellingtonista will be very very excited to announce the start of the Wellingtonista Quiz League.
This will be held a different inner-city pub each week on Tuesday night for four weeks, and point totals is what you're after. So start assembling your team of four now, and look out for more details in the second week of July.
You will want to enter this, no one who participated in the Bowling League regretted it, and I'm sure they would happily furnish you with testmonials about the awesomeness that is participating in a Wellingtonista event!

Grab three friends and start your own team! Or, perhaps there are other Wellingtonista readers who might not be able to put together a full team for themselves who could post here and youse guys could join together.
Thanks Jo~ As alot of people on the wellingtonista seem to know eachother already, I was hoping I could slot myself in with some alumnis. Would anyone care to have me on their team? I have lots of general bits of knowledge to share! Here are a few..
1.* The name coffee comes from the Arabic word qahwah, meaning wine,and not from the town of Kaffa, in Ethiopia (Abyssinia), as many writers have supposed.
2. Banana peel has its uses as well. The peeling makes a good fertilizer for rose bushes. Simply dig a hole near the rose bush and bury the peeling.
3.Every person has a unique tongue print. Every square inch of the human body has an average of 32 million bacteria on it.
MC - if you don't know three people ... have you considered offering a text service for people at quiz nites? You stay at home, they text you, you search/answer for a fee.
Alternatively, you could join my team. I don't know anyone either. Tell you what - you find someone on the street. I'll find someone too.

I'll pass on the text thing and accosting people on the street however. Just to clear up all this madness, I can assure all you fine folks that I have alot more than 3 good friends here but would like to make new and different friends in addition to them and maybe the twain shall eventually meet. I guess I thought this would be easier- I just like to travel in different groups being a very social person!
