Any­way, this Sat­ur­day being part of a long week­end there are a lot of events com­pet­ing for your atten­tion out there in Welling­ton.  We have Craft 2.0 Fair at the Dowse as Sue has already post­ed, I will be work­ing the kids table and it would def­i­nite­ly be my pick for tomor­row.  How­ev­er maybe some of you can’t make it to the Hutt or want a few more options in cen­tral Welly.

  • San Fran­ciso Bath House is home to Good Shit Sale Day. There will be stalls from: ALC HQ, Artikel, Boom­box Gallery, Empire Skate, Good As Gold, Hunters and Col­lec­tors, Iko Iko, Madame Fan­cy Pants, Miss Wong, Much, Pop Up, Swon­der­ful, WPS & Zig­gu­rat.  The sale runs from 11am until 5pm with music from MAREK, KAVA, HEAVY D & GUESTS.  (Details on the Face­book invite here).
  • The 350 glob­al day of action on cli­mate change will kick off tomor­row with a dawn cer­e­mo­ny on Brook­lyn hill with karakia,  drum­ming and a gag­gle of BBC and CNN media stand­ing by to cap­ture your best envi­ron­men­tal­ly con­cerned face.  Picks ups will be avail­able from the cor­ner of Aro Street and Ohi­ro Road at 5.45am for those who eschew car own­er­ship and are made of stern ear­ly ris­ing, eco-friend­ly stuff.  (Oth­er activ­i­ties planned for 350 Welling­ton on the water­front can be found on the 350 web­site). 
  • Frocks on Bikes have a few things planned that should dove­tail attrac­tive­ly into the 350 events.  If you are feel­ing san­guine about the weath­er and feel like frock­ing up, dis­play­ing your wheels and get­ting your pic­nic on check out the details here.
