Any­way, this Sat­urday being part of a long week­end there are a lot of events com­pet­ing for your atten­tion out there in Wel­ling­ton.  We have Craft 2.0 Fair at the Dowse as Sue has already pos­ted, I will be work­ing the kids table and it would def­in­itely be my pick for tomor­row.  How­ever maybe some of you can­’t make it to the Hutt or want a few more options in cent­ral Welly.

  • San Fran­ciso Bath House is home to Good Shit Sale Day. There will be stalls from: ALC HQ, Artikel, Boom­box Gal­lery, Empire Skate, Good As Gold, Hunters and Col­lect­ors, Iko Iko, Madame Fancy Pants, Miss Wong, Much, Pop Up, Swon­der­ful, WPS & Zig­gur­at.  The sale runs from 11am until 5pm with music from MAREK, KAVA, HEAVY D & GUESTS.  (Details on the Face­book invite here).
  • The 350 glob­al day of action on cli­mate change will kick off tomor­row with a dawn cere­mony on Brook­lyn hill with karakia,  drum­ming and a gaggle of BBC and CNN media stand­ing by to cap­ture your best envir­on­ment­ally con­cerned face.  Picks ups will be avail­able from the corner of Aro Street and Ohiro Road at 5.45am for those who eschew car own­er­ship and are made of stern early rising, eco-friendly stuff.  (Oth­er activ­it­ies planned for 350 Wel­ling­ton on the water­front can be found on the 350 web­site). 
  • Frocks on Bikes have a few things planned that should dove­tail attract­ively into the 350 events.  If you are feel­ing san­guine about the weath­er and feel like frock­ing up, dis­play­ing your wheels and get­ting your pic­nic on check out the details here.
