Wellington Rape Crisis believes that education is a vital tool in the prevention of rape and sexual abuse. Earlier this year they had to cut their services by 20% because of a lack of funding.  The community responded by donating money. Though they have met their current budget shortfall thanks to a huge community response they are always in need of funds and support.

Wellington Rape Crisis provides free support and counseling for survivors of rape and sexual abuse, their families, friends and whanau. While they are thrilled at the results of recent fundraising, Wellington Rape Crisis is still not fully or sustainably funded and continues to rely on community donations and support in a difficult funding environment.

STAND UP For Wellington Rape Crisis is a comedic variety fundraiser featuring local comedians, improvisors, and musicians in an event to celebrate the work of Wellington Rape Crisis and to raise funds and awareness.
