Welling­ton’s Fringe Fes­ti­val is up and run­ning, and the one event we high­ly rec­om­mend you get along to see is the extreme­ly com­pli­cat­ed-sound­ing mul­ti­me­dia and per­for­mance extra­vangza which goes by the very sim­ple name of ‘Box’.

Doubt­less there will be many more events of qual­i­ty and acclaim, but when you put dozens of dancers, musi­cians, and assort­ed video jock­eys and noise-mak­ers togeth­er in the same room, it promis­es to be very very good. Or just plain scary. The only way to find out is by head­ing along.

Box is show­ing at The White Room off Lukes Lane from the 16–19th of Feb­ru­ary from 9pm, with an extra show planned for the 19th at 7pm. Tick­ets are $15 from ‘Good as Gold’ 140 Vic­to­ria Street.
