If you are in Newtown this weekend watch out for fans of fabric and all things handmade, November fabric-a-brac is full – and raring to go. Fabric’s  coming out of closets, suitcases and secret hiding places around the city.

Expect the usual mix of old, not-so-old, funky, modern, new, upholstery and, well, generally  heaps of wonderful fabric and sewing accessories. If you’ve got pieces of quality fabric you’d like to donate, you can do so to helps raise money for Hospice – see www.fabricabrac.co.nz for drop off points.

You can also bring along your scissors to be sharpened plus there are some sessions featuring Mindy from Juniper and Ann Packer.
