Zesty success

by Heather C on November 18, 2013

So I’m going to declare right up front that I work for Zest Food Tours of New Zealand before I congratulate them on 10 years of success this month.  No mean feat in the sometimes-fickle tourism/hospitality industry.

And rated one of the world’s top 10 Walking Tours for Globetrotting Foodies by Lonely Planet this year.  Way to go Zest!

Cath and Sue started Zest in 2003 when realising visitors to the city (predominantly the new cruise variety) were limited to standard offerings like the Cable Car, Mt Victoria lookout, Botanical Gardens and Parliament (pretty much).

Coffee

What better way to give visitors a taste of Wellington’s fabulous food, coffee, charm and culture than walking food tours they thought? (and yes, it does mean the calories inhaled go right out through the feet again!).

And ten years on, Zest now operates in Martinborough (and no, we won’t make you walk to get there!), Dunedin, Ponsonby and Auckland City, with a range of language skills and fascinating backgrounds across the guiding group.

As well as visitors to the city, Zest provides offerings for corporate events, Christmas events, conference groups, behind-the-scenes Wellington on a Plate events, hens parties and more (cup-cake decorating competition anyone?).  Just ask.

And for a fun Christmas or birthday present, you can purchase gift vouchers.

And now I promise I rest on the birthday posts! (well I think I do….).

Have a happy eating week.
