Department of Linky Love: The Examiner
It’s nice to see some solid local news reporting over at new Wellington website The Examiner.
The Examiner says it aims to be “… a site where we look deeper and think harder about the city we live in and the issues that matter to us. It is also a forum for telling Wellingtonians’ stories, especially for people who would not otherwise have a voice.”
Neat. Welcome, The Examiner.
Just tried to get to the Examiner, but they must have a server the size of a peanut – waited over 2 minutes, and still no web-page. I wanted to wish them luck – they’ll need it if they are going to be that slow.
In the mean time, if you want some urban commentary about the Wellington we live in, why not pop on over to the Eye of the Fish, at eyeofthefish.org
I’ve also found it impossible to access the Examiner’s web-page despite trying for 3 days. It’s a shame because it sounded like it would have provided some interesting stuff. Perhaps it hasn’t gotten off the ground yet? Whatever the case, hopefully the Examiner can post once it is available and accessible.
p.s. Maximus, I checked out your site – it looks cool, so I have added it to my daily news reader, Thx.
Their Facebook page sez:
“Server issues have taken the site down and we are trying to get that sorted as quickly as possible. Please accept our apologies.” – Yesterday at 7:47am
Still down this morning though.
Massive apologies about our server issues that still persist, very very frustrating. I’ll let everyone know as soon as the situation is resolved.
