WordCamp
WordPress is a kick-arse content management system. It’s what we use to power the Wellingtonista, and many of us also use it on our personal blogs.
WordPress is open source and has a lively community of users, developers and general fans, and it’s these sorts of people who will be coming together for the second WordCamp Wellington un-conference, on the weekend of 19-20 February at the Oceania Room at Te Papa.
With WordCamp directly following Webstock and running adjacent to WordCamp Melbourne, organisers have been able to score a top-notch selection of local and international speakers.
The line-up so far includes:

- Political blogger and New Zealand internet stalwart David Farrar

And that’s not to mention all the smart webtastic people who’ll be attending.
I went to the first WordCamp Wellington last year, and had a cool time, met lots of interesting people and learned heaps of useful tips at tricks for making WordPress purr like a kitten. I highly recommend it if you’re into WordPress (or just WP-curious).
