Carter Obser­va­to­ry, that big old bub­ble up on the hill, is run­ning a pho­tog­ra­phy con­test with a but­t­load of prizes, and you should enter it. The title is “Light & Dark” and any­thing under that goes.  Judges include Mark Gee, who you may remem­ber from such moon pho­tos as this.

There’s a kids’ cat­e­go­ry too, and we’ve heard a whis­per not too many have entered this sec­tion, so your young per­son (up to and includ­ing age 14) stands a good chance of tak­ing home an iPad mini and a ses­sion in the Cap­i­tal E Dig­i­tal Stu­dios for their whole class.

Entries close on Nov 29, so get in there before we fill up the bal­lot box with pic­tures of our very spe­cial moons…
